Landsby i Mali

West Africa

Norwegian Lutheran Mission began working in Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire) in 1984, and expanded into Mali in 2005. We are primarily working amongst two unreached people groups, the mahou (mau malinke) in Ivory Coast and the malinke in Mali.

Ivory Coast has a population of 26 million and shares a border with Mali in the north. The latter has a population of 20 million. Both countries are former french colonies, but gained independence in the early -60s.
